The X Games had established itself as the place for more extreme sports competitions by the late 1990s. Tony Hawk became the first skater to successfully execute the 900 flip–a two-and-a-half-revolution aerial spin–after 10 failed attempts, revolutionized the sport, and helped launch his own video game series. Now, some lucky fan can own the gear and board Hawk used to perform the trick at X Games ’99.

Dubbed “the 900 collection,” the lot is made not only of the Birdhouse Falcon 2 board, but also the shoes, kneepads, and even Hawk’s professional credentials for the show.

“Every sport has its defining moments–the plays, the triumphs, the feats that forever change its landscape. For skateboarding, that moment arrived on June 27, 1999, delivered by the undisputed pioneer of modern vertical skateboarding, Tony Hawk,” Julien’s Auctions said about the lot. “This is more than just a deck; it’s the very board, the Birdhouse Falcon 2 outfitted with Fury brand trucks and unmarked wheels, that Tony Hawk rode into legend during his historic performance at the 1999 X Games in San Francisco.”

The skate deck alone is estimated to bring in between $500,000 and $700,000. The black Mosa Sports brand helmet that Hawk wore is signed and is the second-highest item expected to fetch $5,000-$7,000. A portion of all the proceeds from this sale will benefit The Skatepark Project.

If these sports relics are outside your budget, you can at least play Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 when it comes out on July 11. The game will be available for all modern platforms and on Game Pass.
