Blue Energy Motors Ltd., a key partner in Essar’s green mobility initiative, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra Government at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
This agreement marks the start of an exciting investment plan in the state, with Blue Energy Motors set to manufacture 30,000 electric trucks, boosting both industrial growth and the region’s EV truck infrastructure.
The company will invest Rs 3500 crores to build a cutting-edge manufacturing facility dedicated to producing its advanced electric trucks. The facility will feature R&D capabilities, a battery-pack line, motor manufacturing units, and charging stations.
This investment is expected to create over 4,000 jobs and contribute to Maharashtra’s green energy transition, with the project set to kick off in fiscal year 2025-26.
Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO of Blue Energy Motors, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “This collaboration represents a crucial milestone in our ambitions of pioneering green trucking in partnership with Essar’s green mobility initiative. It reflects our shared vision for a cleaner, greener and a more sustainable future.”
The new facility will employ state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques to produce zero-emission electric trucks. These AI and ML-powered vehicles aim to revolutionise heavy-duty trucking by offering unmatched efficiency, reliability, and reduced carbon emissions.
