Last Updated:

The R40 has already been submitted for homologation and is currently awaiting government approvals.

The R40 promises an impressive range of 165 km on a single charge.

Jindal Mobilitric, a subsidiary of Jindal Worldwide Limited, has introduced its latest electric vehicle, the R40.

With an impressive range of 165 kilometres on a single charge, the R40 is set to stand out among competitors in India’s growing EV market.

Dealerships Expansion

Currently, Jindal Mobilitric has a network of 35 dealers across India, but they aren’t stopping there. The company plans to expand to 100 dealerships in the next year, ensuring better reach and service availability for customers nationwide.

R40: All You Need To Know

This new model underlines the company’s ambition to play a leading role in sustainable transport. The R40 has been sent for homologation – a process of official approval – and will be launched as soon as the government gives the green signal.

What sets the R40 apart is Jindal Mobilitric’s commitment to in-house innovation. From R&D to manufacturing, the company has kept everything under one roof.

A spokesperson from Jindal Worldwide said, “Electric mobility is the future of transportation and our foray into EV production is a strategic and significant milestone for us. The research and development of the EV has been done in-house, and we are excited about its launch.”

Furthermore, it will be produced at Jindal Mobilitric’s high-tech facility in Ahmedabad, which boasts an annual production capacity of 2.5 lakh vehicles.

Besides this, the company has also built a fully automated battery manufacturing plant with the same capacity. This move ensures better control over battery safety and quality – two key factors that influence EV adoption.
